The following safety statement is critical to the use of this Fiber Focus Handheld Laser Welding Machine in any working environment.
To ensure safe use of Class IV high-power laser equipment, operators MUST wear all recommended personal protective equipment (PPE), including laser protective glasses, welding mask, laser and heat resistant gloves, hats, and other laser and heat resistant clothing.
Anti-Laser Protective Glass is MANDATORY. In addition, any personnel within visible range must also wear protective glasses. A pair of protective glasses are included with every machine purchased. Laser light emission is dangerous to the human eye, and protection is mandatory!

LIA is committed to keeping all workplaces safe from laser associated hazards. LIA’s alliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration helps provide businesses with the tools they need to create effective laser safety programs. Through a variety of laser safety training courses, LIA has trained countless personnel in research, industrial and medical laser facilities.
As secretariat to the Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) Z136, responsible for the development of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) approved Z136 series of laser safety standards, as well as publisher of these standards, LIA can be your go-to source for the
latest in laser safety.
The ANSI Z136.1 for Safe Use of Lasers is the newly updated parent document and cornerstone of the Z136 series of laser safety standards. The Z136.1 is the foundation of laser safety programs for industrial, military, medical, and educational applications nationwide. These programs are also supported by industry-specific vertical standards within the Z136 series.
The Z136.1 provides guidance for the safe use of lasers and laser systems that operate at wavelengths between 180 nm and 1000 μm by defining control measures for each of the seven laser hazard classifications. This voluntary consensus standard is referenced by the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The ANSI Z136.1 standard is indispensable in creating a safe working environment where lasers are used. While it is a voluntary standard, it is a vital resource to Laser Safety Officers (LSOs) in this rapidly-growing industry.
